City Pig’s analysis

Tortilla, is another Mexican burrito chain similar to Poncho 8 and Chipotle around London. Big queues form in the Canary Wharf branch as soon as12pm strikes. A selection of tacos or burritos is on offer with the usual choice of pinto beans or black beans, rice, guacamole and salad.

t is difficult to differentiate the burrito chains as you feel like you are in a mass production factory where each staff you talk to, layers beans and rice at your demand. By the end, you have a massive wrap bursting with fillings left right and centre.

There is no easy way to be elegant, when eating a burrito and you will see more men lunching here than women. I opted for the chicken burrito and it was very tasty and so filling at £4.95 it is good value and keeps you full till dinner. I love guacamole and so added this to my wrap at a cost of 70p more.

I was surprised how little guacamole ended up in my wrap and regretted getting the extra. Nevertheless, it was a decent tasty lunch which I can see myself joining the queue next lunch time.
